I, too, came over from NCN. I really like your site. I’m particularly interested in the program at VT, so I’ll be reading through the entire site.
Good luck with your job search.

Hi - I came over from NCN too and I reallly like what I’ve read on your site. My husband was just laid off too and although it is really a crummy situation (especially in this current economy), having the emergency fund will really help us out too. And of course, there is unemployment, which is a blessing. AND, since it is the holiday time, we are reminded that we have a lot of family and friends which is a tremendous support network.
A couple things that have helped keep me focused during this rough time:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord, who are called according to His purpose.”
“For I know the plans I have for you”, says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jerimiah 29:11
Don’t tell God how big your storm is, tell your storm how big your God is!

Susan, thank you for your kind words and prayers. I really appreciate it! The Lord is really giving me the strength to stay positive and look at the possibilities this brings rather than getting depressed about how bad off things are.
I look forward to more comments from you!
